Container Stowage facilities
Container Stowage Facilities

Containers are designed to allow a solid and secure stowage of cargo. The facilities include:

  1. Plank or plywood wooden floors: allow you to secure blocks, wedges or cradles with nails or screws.
  2. Internal walls: adequate for supporting light loads only.
  3. Corner post fittings: adequate for supporting beams, most are equipped with three attachment bars.
  4. Points of securement: on the floor and in the ceiling (tiedown points and rings) and tie bars to fasten cord, chain, wire rope, straps, etc.
Note: The walls, doors and roof of the container are merely thin protective metallic sheets that cannot withstand heavy load forces.
