Wine, latex, printing ink and other non-dangerous liquids are frequently carried in 20' dry van containers in special synthetic bags. In any event, they must be firmly supported at the door end of the container with a hardwood bulkhead.
Make sure that the straps of the bag harnesses are well secured to the container tiedowns. This is necessary not only to protect the cargo, but to deaden the surge that is generated internally in the bag and to avoid excessive pressure on the side panels of the container. |
