New DAEM Director Visits Padre André Coindre School

San Antonio’s new Director of Education visited the Summer School currently being hosted by Fundación CSAV. During the visit, infrastructure works completed in recent years were presented, and a tour of the current project under construction was conducted.

Last Thursday, one month after his appointment, the director of the DAEM (Municipal Education Administration Department), Maximiliano Miranda, accompanied by a team of officials, toured the Summer School organized by Fundación CSAV, which brings together more than 120 children. During the visit, they had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the initiatives designed to benefit the students.

The tour showcased the main activities of the second edition of the Summer School, including workshops and games that combine recreation with education. Authorities observed the various activities designed to provide students with engaging experiences during the summer season.

Subsequently, they reviewed the infrastructure projects executed at the school, highlighting flagship works such as the construction of the multi-purpose court and the covered gymnasium. The tour allowed authorities to see the various improvements serving nearly 700 students in the school community, creating gathering spaces to strengthen the bonds within the educational community.

They also visited the new project under construction, which involves the renovation of the preschool courtyard. This project seeks to offer an appropriate environment for early childhood education, aimed at promoting sports and recreational activities from a young age.

María Elena Palma from Fundación CSAV noted: “We want to highlight the success of our Summer School, with high attendance and a diversity of recreational activities; the children are having a very entertaining summer in a safe space. For their part, the infrastructure works have significantly improved the environment and provided access to high-quality spaces.”

Fundación CSAV, together with municipal authorities, emphasized the importance of offering quality spaces for the hundreds of students at Padre André Coindre School, promoting renovated areas for community engagement and strengthening social ties in San Antonio.
