Fundación CSAV Awards Class D Licenses to 25 San Antonio Students to Boost Employability in Logistics

Seniors from the Instituto Comercial Marítimo Pacífico Sur will receive training in forklift operation, gaining a key advantage for their entry into the port and industrial labor market.

Fundación CSAV, in collaboration with the Instituto Comercial Marítimo Pacífico Sur (INCO) and with the support of STI, has launched a specialized forklift operation course for 25 12th-grade students specializing in Logistics and Port Operations.

The course, which consists of 16 sessions held at the school’s facilities under high safety standards and faculty supervision, includes the full funding of the Class D License by the Foundation. Obtaining this license—which authorizes the operation of heavy machinery such as forklifts—significantly expands graduates’ employment opportunities in logistics terminals, warehouses, distribution centers, and ports.

This project addresses the need to enhance employability in San Antonio—a key port and industrial city—by providing students with a competitive edge and contributing to the local development of the community.
