CSAV Foundation kicks off 2026 with three projects in San Antonio benefiting hundreds of students

The initiatives include roofing the courtyard at INCO, implementing a technical room at Liceo Juan Dante Parraguez, and the 3rd edition of the Summer School at Escuela Padre André Coindre.

San Antonio, January 2026– While the school community enjoys the vacation period, the Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores Foundation (CSAV Foundation) is simultaneously executing three projects in different municipal establishments in San Antonio. These works, which began in late December, seek to strengthen education, sports, and the well-being of the commune’s children and youth.

Multi-purpose Court at Instituto Comercial Marítimo Pacífico Sur

In the area of infrastructure, the foundation is moving forward with the construction of the roofed courtyard at the Instituto Comercial Marítimo Pacífico Sur (INCO). The project involves the total renovation of a multi-purpose court that was in very poor condition. This refurbishment includes roofing, the installation of lighting systems, and floor improvements to make it suitable for various sporting disciplines. This space under construction will provide a safe environment for school life and the development of activities for the students of the high school.

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Room at Liceo Juan Dante Parraguez

Concurrently, the implementation of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Room is underway at Liceo Juan Dante Parraguez. This is the Foundation’s first project linked to this HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technical specialty, equipping the school with high-standard industrial tools and machinery to enhance students’ practical learning. The completion of this room is set for the first week of February, with an official handover scheduled for March.

Regarding this, María Elena Palma, Director of the CSAV Foundation, highlighted:

“We started 2026 at full speed, with several projects in San Antonio that benefit hundreds of highly vulnerable students. These projects are a reflection of our commitment to port communities and the continuous improvement of education.”

2026 Summer School

Finally, at Escuela Padre André Coindre, the Foundation is carrying out the 3rd version of its Summer School, an initiative that welcomes children from San Antonio for various activities and is currently in its second week of operation. The program benefits more than 100 local children with choreographic dance workshops, crafts, sports, and fun pedagogical visits every Friday.
